About Ken Ramirez
Principal Cloud, Data & AI Architect
I help enterprise teams work through cloud cost pressure, modernization risk, data challenges, and practical AI delivery. I bring principal-level architecture together with direct engineering, from infrastructure and DevOps through applications and data services.
Through Mentoritek, I’m available for remote U.S. contract work. C2C is preferred; 1099 is considered.
How I work
I stay close to the problem and the implementation.
My work has spanned enterprise software, cloud architecture, application modernization, data platforms, and DevOps. I have worked in principal architecture and technical leadership roles while remaining directly involved in building the systems and delivery foundations.
At Siemens, I built Terraform from a prototype account and used it to recreate multi-region environments; I also built Next.js and Java/Spring Boot prototypes. At Carrier, I worked across architecture and hands-on TypeScript development, event-driven services, and AWS CDK. At Atlas Air, I designed cloud foundations and wrote Python provisioning guardrails.
The role is not architecture at a distance. I work directly with the client and delivery team, making decisions and implementing the parts where my experience is most useful.
